What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?

As I understand the role, the Region Advisor is part facilitator, part coach, part team builder, and a liaison between the District leaders and Toastmasters world headquarters. My experience demonstrates that I have the facilitation and coaching skills necessary to assist District leaders. As a pathways chief ambassador, I understand the role of a liaison. I have participated in, and assisted leaders in club building and club rescue. Success as District Governor demonstrates my ability to build a cohesive, successful team.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?

Over the past 6 years, I have been a facilitator and career coach for a career center. During that time, I have coached over 100 individuals who are transitioning in their employment. This includes work with individuals to help with interviewing skills, coaching individuals who are working toward a professional designation and designing micro credential programs which assist with professional development and leadership opportunities.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

In order for a District to achieve its mission, the leadership team must be trained, motivated, and coached. My Toastmasters and professional experience combine to offer District leaders strong support in these three aspects. I have worked hard to stay current with Toastmaster's tools and programs. I am a professional facilitator, familiar with training adults. I am also a Golden Gavel winner John Maxwell Leadership Certified trainer and coach. I have continued to serve my district in leadership and support for more than ten years. As a mentor to Area Directors, Division Directors, and the leadership team, I continue to provide support and coaching. I believe I can use my skills to help add value to leadership teams, helping them to build new clubs and help all clubs achieve excellence I have the skill set, the desire and the time and energy to help Districts excel.
