What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?
My understanding is Regions Advisors have many similarities to an Area Director on steroids. I have served as a District officer six of the past seven years. In the year I was not a District officer, I served as a conference chair. I have completed 15 paths in Pathways and earned two of my three DTMs in the past two years. My education projects and officer roles have helped me gain skills and develop networking with my fellow Toastmasters. All of which will help me with any opportunities I would experience as a Region Advisor.
What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?
I have served as a Club Coach and worked as a mentor in my clubs and District roles. As District trio members we spend a great amount of time coaching other individuals and groups.
Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?
My primary interest in serving as a Region Advisor is to stay connected to and involved with this amazing organization. Toastmasters International is pound for pound the most cost effective form of personal and professional development on Earth. As a Region Advisor, I can continue to grow and learn as a Toastmaster. I plan to apply my calming influence and problem solving skills to aid Districts experiencing any drama or issues. My goal as a Region Advisor will be to help the Districts achieve their mission. When Districts achieve their mission, clubs achieve their mission and in turn my fellow Toastmasters achieve their goals. It will be an honor to serve and be of assistance to my fellow Toastmasters.
