What is your understanding of the Region Advisor role and how does your experience relate to the role?

The Region Advisor role is to support District leaders in fulfilling the District mission to build new clubs and support all clubs in achieving excellence. To achieve this mission, a good region advisor must serve as the go-to person, demonstrating respect, attentively listening to district teams, and providing mentorship and coaching to district leaders. since my tenure as a district leader, I have been the go-to person of many district leaders and club leaders. My home district did not achieve distinguished when I served as district director, however, my faith in long-term district strategies, continuous effort and mission-focused actions support the next district team achieve distinguished. I am eager to lend my support to all districts within Region 14.

What is your experience with coaching individuals and/or teams?

During my tenure as a district leader, I coached team members in understanding and fulfilling their roles and responsibilities. As district director, I specifically focused on coaching my division directors to lead their teams effectively. I am passionately committed to coaching individuals toward their goals. One of my notable achievements was successfully helping two clubs reinstate, which earned me coach credit. One of these clubs was in a particularly challenging situation. Through eight months of close collaboration with club officers, the team was able to achieve President's Distinguished award, ensuring the club’s success for the next few years.

Why are you interested in serving as Region Advisor?

I am interested in serving as Region Advisor because my experience with Toastmasters in each stage is fascinating. I become happier because of this vibrant community and its positive members. I gain great improvement in communication and leadership. My past experience with club teams and districts teams makes me a servant leader. I am sure the region advisor experience as an international leader will further broaden my understanding and appreciation of the Toastmasters brand. As a liaison, I am willing to establish effective communication channels between headquarter and region 14. The more successfully our districts fulfill their missions, the more effectively Toastmasters International can empower individuals to become more effective communicator and leader.
