ERIN GRUWELL: Toastmasters' 2017 Golden Gavel Award Recipient

Toastmasters International will honor Erin Gruwell with the prestigious Golden Gavel award for her influence as a high school teacher and subsequent success with the Freedom Writers Foundation. The award is given annually to an ­individual who is distinguished in the field of ­communication or leadership. The award will be presented this August during the 86th Annual Toastmasters International Convention in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada.
