Managing Editor

Laura oversees the daily editorial production of the magazine, while also developing long-term projects and goals. She is still actively involved with writing and editing stories, and loves coming up with new ways to share the magazine's resources and hearing about the many ways Toastmasters has changed people's lives. When not working, she enjoys reading, skiing, hiking, and hanging out with her family and two dogs.

Paul Sterman

Senior Editor, Executive and Editorial Content

Paul writes, edits, and works with contributors to the magazine, helping to highlight useful strategies and share engaging stories about Toastmasters and their journeys. He loves learning about members, and their respective cultures, from many different countries. Outside of work, Paul enjoys reading, running, traveling, watching movies, and relaxing with his family and their dog.

Laura Mishkind

Associate Editor

Laura writes, assigns, and edits magazine articles. In addition to content creation, she manages the production of The Toastmasters Podcast, implements SEO best practices, collects and dissects magazine analytics, and takes on special projects within the Marketing Department. When she's not searching for engaging stories, Laura enjoys spending time with her family and dog, hiking, watching sports, and reading.

Mackenzie Eldred

Assistant Editor

Mackenzie writes, edits, and fact checks articles for the magazine. She oversees several regular sections of the magazine and creates SEO information for articles and images. Mackenzie also manages article submissions, photo submissions, editorial reviews, and freelancer information, as well as assisting on various projects. Outside of work, Mackenzie enjoys reading, baking, and traveling.

Brian Messick

Graphics and Multimedia Designer

Brian designs the magazine and brings a blend of creativity, strategy, and heart to every project he touches. With experience in design, illustration, animation, and video, he loves finding fresh ways to tell meaningful stories and elevate the member experience. Brian volunteers at children’s hospitals, community events, and neurodiversity fairs, often dressing up as the Marvel character Groot. He enjoys tennis, food, traveling, and surrounding himself with good people who bring out the best in each other.

Bambi Cash

Graphic Designer and Event Photographer

Bambi supports Brian in designing layouts for the magazine and collaborating with editors each month to bring stories to life. She also enhances marketing initiatives for the magazine through graphic design and event photography. Bambi works closely with the editors to ensure articles are clear, engaging, and visually cohesive. When she isn’t working, she enjoys exploring new design inspiration, traveling, and spending time with her family and dog.
